I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom
without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. Frankie |

I never had luck with vac or water hose with bags.
I set up the kiddy pond transfer water catch the fish as I pump out the water. Clean and flush and scoop. Refill and count the fish on the way back It takes a fire truck and 3/4 of a day. We make a yearly family event. "frankie" wrote in message nk.net... I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. I use a swimming pool vacuum with my filter pump to clean my ponds. I think
it works very well. You can see it here http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondpage4.html. The leaf basket is from Aquatic Eco, as is the hose. The vac head is from an old vacuum for the house. -- RichToyBox http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondintro.html "frankie" wrote in message nk.net... I have a 1000 gallon pond. The equipment is best shown in stills, and the only thing that a movie would
add is the ability for everyone to watch me slip, slide, fall and generally look like a fool. -- RichToyBox http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondintro.html wrote in message ...
