I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being
rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

One method is to start feeding him out of the net, and
then one day pulling him out with the net. Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets wrote on 3/18/2006 7:50 PM: I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

If the other fish get it, then he won't get it, so, he
will get hungrier, he will see that everybody else is doing it, and will eventually go in the net. ![]() Thats the way I finally wound up catching a solitary peppermint shrimp that I wanted to relocate to another tank......I had no trouble at all with the cleaner shrimp going right up into the net, but that peppermint was sly and sneeky. I finally had to remove the pair of cleaners first, then wait on the peppermint or I would still have been doing nothing but feeding the cleaners. or http://cgi.ebay.com/FISH-TRAP-Live-C...QQcmdZViewItem or You can use a pole with a #6 hook baited with some yummy algae and squid. Bottom line, use a fish trap or like the others have said feed food above the net and snag it. This is the only reason I don't buy Tangs. Beautiful fish, lots of personality. Get TOO BIG for most aquariums. Chris wrote in message ... I need to snare a purple surgeon. He's too big for my tank, and being rather a bully. Any recomendations, or good products for it? Mike |

I never had to use one, but I would try the one from eBay.
Looks interesting and it's cheap. I've bought from this seller before, honest guy. wrote in message ...
