My 75gal tank is accumulating salts on its edge. It has to be a leak but I
was wondering if it is normal or should I just transfer everything to a new tank? Is not a big deal but worries me. iy |

Yes it's normal for tanks to leak. That's how we all do
our water changes. It makes the carpet rather crunchy, but it sure makes water changes a lot easier. hehehe Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets Inabón Yunes wrote on 7/18/2006 6:06 PM: My 75gal tank is accumulating salts on its edge. I found this article helpful. Your tank should be ok.
http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/aqu...a/aa050200.htm Hopefully your tank is leaking toward the top and not the bottom. B "Inabón Yunes" wrote in message ... It is more like a sweat on the bottom seam. The moisture is coming over the
top of the seam and water doesn't drip. I know it is happening for the salt accumulation. It only happens on one corner. Thanks! "Bryan" wrote in message ... I found this article helpful. ![]() My old 29G tank did this for years, it was nothing more than a minor inconvenience. David PS I scraped off the salt and put it back in the tank. If it's dripping down a seal, it might not be a big deal now, but it will if the seam gives. |
