smaller air pump?

I agree G, I had air bubblers in my 5 tanks. I pulled the plug one
night on the 75 gallon tank. I saw no behavior change the next
morning. I was glad to be rid of the noise, but more important, I
was rid of the mineral deposits that are so hard to clean.

I did enjoy the curtain of bubbles and I was convinced that the air
kept the water quality uniform. However, a year later I am glad I
pulled the plug.

I hate the bubble things. And I've never seen a tank that required
bubble wands for oxygenation. Also worry about the rare but happens
sometimes air emboli. But I do think the diving doggies are kind of
cute. I once rigged a mermaid to blow bubbles out of her rear end - my
kids thought it was way cool.
