Roy,

That sounds like a good start on a koi pond. Moving from your self filtered
lake to a recirculating pond will present some start up headaches, but the
improvement in viewing is worth it. BTW. Welcome back.

I need to start figuring out what I need to build a bona
fide koi pond with a real filtration system. Sure will be nice to be
able to see the koi in full color instead of how they look in a
natural pond that does not have clear water, although its clean water.
Ball park size is 5 feet deep, with some ledges, 22 feet long and 14
feet wide.

I think the lake will still be the same, RTB. Roy, is going to build a
separate koi pond (just like the rest of us) joy, joy, happy, happy. )
