14 days and still no activity.. the seeds are still still sitting at
the bottom of the container.

How long do these normally take to germinate?

Can't remember for sure, but I think mine sprouted within 2 weeks - were the
seeds very hard (like marbles ) before you put them in water? - if they were
soft at all or shrivelled like a raisons surface, then they weren't viable
seeds- I also put mine in only 2" of water - as soon as they sent out a
sprout, it was out of the water and when the sprout was ~2.5" long, I
planted it

The seeds were smooth and hard like marble.. Ellipsoids...

Now they are soaked and leathery.

Question for "S"

If you get plants at this late date in the year what will you do with them
for the winter? Does anyone know if they can be grown inside like a
houseplant then put out in the spring???

Thanks,
Heather

Thanks for the tip. I will lookout for that.

Now 2 more seeds have sunk.

Status:
4 seeds put to soak
3 seeds sunk
2 sunk seeds turn the water murky end of day.

Now I am carrying the seeds in my car. I figured they will get the sun
as much and I can shake them every few hours. I feel like a kid on a
science project!

Hello Heather,

I am planning to overwinter them inside the house in containers.
According to victoria adventure website, it should be fine to do so.
Once the seeds germinate, I will keep you all posted as to the progress
through this winter.

Wonder if my seeds will sit at the bottom of the containers and rot.

Still no sign of germination :-(
