Yep that be them. I think it's spelled vermetid snail.
I just call them tube snails :-) Wayne Sallee Wayne's Pets Ann R wrote on 1/2/2006 2:25 PM: Vermited snails do that. I have a large vermited that sends out a web about 6 inches long during water changes.
