Hi, I've seen that a lot of people responding on this page are from the UK. Is it true that Tetra do a good selection of gel food in the UK? Hello from London! What do you mean by "gel food"? -- Flash Wilson - Web Design & Mastery - 0870 401 4061 / 07939 579090 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Work: www.wdam.co.uk Personal: www.gorge.org |

Hello in London. I'm a Kent girl living in NE USA. Hope your weather
is better there :-) I've heard quite a bit about this 'gel food' and how good it is in preventing swim bladder problems. I think it was available here but Tetra no longer advertise it on their website and I haven't seen any. My LFS said they used to carry it. I think it was food suspended in a protein jelly. (somebody please correct me if I'm wrong). I've done some hunting around and have googled it but can find very little about it unless it is similar to what reptiles are eating :-) I've looked at the Tetra UK and AU and they seem to have some great products that I haven't seen here. Especially the FishDelica product which is in a jelly. I will go and have a look in some pet store when I'm back in Blighty. It might just be that the local 3 petstores, around here, just aren't brilliant. It took me 2 days to hunt down Furanase. All they would recommend for everything was pimafix. Think they aren't too knowledgable or have been spoken to by a very convincing sales rep :-) Not very informative on the gel food am I? :-) Mellie |

I used to feed a tiny bit to a betta who wasn't eating, and then the rest to another tank. It's ok if you feed it into still water, stays in blobs, but it broke up when it hit filter flow, I imagine it then vanished into the water and rotted? And yes, you can get that pretty much anywhere here. I just didn't know what you meant! -- Flash Wilson - Web Design & Mastery - 0870 401 4061 / 07939 579090 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Work: www.wdam.co.uk Personal: www.gorge.org |
