Hi, glad it isn't just mine. Well sad too that you are experiencing
the same thing. I've put salt in and done a 25% water change and yet
they still sit on the bottom. The funny thing is that they get up as
soon as I walk past thinking they are going to be fed.

Mine eat and have a good appetite, then return to the bottom.

I started the
anti-biotic food as the water parameters are fine and I am just
clueless as to what it is. If the water is good and they are showing
no signs of a parasite then I thought maybe it is bacterial.

I'm taking a wait and watch attitude. I have no space to bring them in so
they'll have to sink or swim as they say. I stopped buying fish now and
will wait awhile. There's just too many problems with them "dropping dead"
as about 4 have done now with no symptoms whatsoever. Scrapes show nothing!
All were treated for parasites when while in quarantine. Now I have a small
bubble eye that's right-side-up at the surface and can't swim down. It just
hangs there. Swim bladder no doubt. It's eating and passing feces so it's
not this infamous GF constipation. Then I come here an read about the
troubles other people are having. When I have enough stock I can breed my
own and bypass all these problems and frustrations.

One is 6 months old and the other 5. I was going to add some carbon
but only took some out just over a week ago and they were doing this
before I took it out. It just now seems more regular.

I know your frustration. I'm going through it myself at the moment.

thanks everybody for you help. Much appreciated
Mellie
