Thanks for pointing the Group to another very interesting article. The
units seem fantastic - a "step" change, possibly ! Any reduction in
electrical costs (and heat generation) is very welcome.

If I am interpreting the article correctly, the "useable" spectrum
appears to reduce before the 11-year lifespan, but even so, the life
is much longer than MH or fluorescent bulbs.

The cost of the equipment is terrifying, but will probably reduce if
other manufacturers start to market similar units.
