You need to look at in a different frame of "light" :-) Pricey, yes but much more cost effective in the long run if you are planning on keeping a reef tanks for some time. . Don't forget these lights also have dimmers and you can also change the K setting, so you can simulate dawn to dusk. I'm sure that in the future the price will come down and there will be even high output units.
