There are PLENTY of corals you can grow with that lighting. Check out some of the lower light leathers, zoas, and other softies... As already stated there are low light LPS that would do well under that light as well. Do the metal halide lamps create similar glowing effect? Lets say if I get 14000K blue bulbs - will they support fluorescence? Or I still should have actinic bulbs for that? |

I had one that did. I forget the brand, but it had a lot
of actinic in it. It looked neat, but it did not look as natural. I like 10 k mh lights as they give a more natural look than the higher kelvin bulbs. I like to see the natural colors.
