![]() "Reel McKoi" wrote in message ... "blair thompson" wrote in message ... With all the conflab recently about tainted pet food and toothpaste imported from China, I started to wonder how toxic the frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, etc also manufactured and packaged there might be to our fish. I asked at my LFS, and they said that, although made in China, the brand they carried was "sterilized" (Hmmm.). I note that the "Frostbites" brand carried by Walmart also originates in China. Just wondering... Blair. ======================== I've stopped buying anything edible from China. Sterilizing food doesn't remove the non-edible and toxic filler products they add to the food. If it was made in China too it out. I agree, but it is impossible now to determine ingredients in say Tetramin Oranda etc. or for that matter any other brand....they are not required to indicate where each ingredient comes from, and the same concoction in the news is in almost all dried fish food. |
