Default Tank Thickness

I'm thinking of getting back into the hobby after a 20 year absence
Last tank I had was a store bought 55g size, rectangular, with bowed
corners. It developed, after 2-3 years, about a 1" bow across the
front. Scared the heck out of me. It was a fish only tank.

This time I want a 90-110g tank, rectangular, acrylic with the bowed
corners. How thick should the tank be so that it stays flat after
years of use?

I would like to buy it used. What's the going price/gal for a used
tank? And the stand? and the hood?

Can anyone recommend a web site so I can get a look at it?

Thanks everyone.

All tanks bow to some extend be it glass or acrylic. You may be
paranoid about it busting, but if you buy a decent name brand tank you
do not have any worries, Buy some off brand piece of **** and take
your chances. Lopok on your local or area Craigslist for used tanks.
Tanks today are made in euro brace as well...........they eliminate
most if not all bowing of any tank be it glass or acrylic but IMHO
leave a lot to be desired when it comes to access in certain tank
sizes. Are yu that far from a LFS that you cannot checkout a tank? Tis
much better to plut your eyeballs on a tank or other things than
relying on a description written up by some idiot..and then have some
folks interpret what is being stated.and what is actually being said.
Oceanic, AGA Perfecto are all name brands of tanks but all are glass.
or check out glasscages.com as they make acrylic tanks and have lots
of info on acrylic tanks on their site..
