I have had a H.O.T. Magnum Filter in operation on my 30-gallon tropical fish
aquarium for over two years. Recently the Bio-wheel stopped turning. I cleaned the filter, etc., but it still won't turn. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what should be done? Replace the Bio-wheel? Thanks for any help, Jim Capaldi |

There are, IMO, *very* few cases when a bio-wheel actually needs to be tossed. Also check water flow, it may be diverted, or not strong enough to turn it. These things have always gotten things going again for me. |

When you soaked it in bleach, you killed off the good bacteria - that's the
reason for having a biowheel in the first place. Next time, take some siphoned tank water and clean the biowheel thoroughly in that. DJay "kevin" wrote in message . ..
