Default Bamboo Shrimp

om...
What are Bamboo Shrimp? Are they similar to Ghost Shrimp except for
not transparent? I saw some in the LFS the other day and they looked
kinda neat. I haven't been able to find much if any information on
them in my usual sources. Are they an ok match for a freshwater
community tank?

Thanks.

Look up "Fan Shrimp". IIRC, this is what some LFS's are calling "bamboo" or
"wood" shrimp. Myself, I'd hold out for Amano or Algae-eating shrimp.
They're useful as well as amusing. Don't place any shrimp in a tank with
loaches, most types of loaches will attack them for food. YMMV.
