Camelback shrimp also known as dancing shrimp are not good for
reeftanks. To catch them the first suggestion I would give you is to try a glass leaned up against a rock with food in the bottom of it. The shrimp should be able to get into the glass but unable to get out. Kim Cleaner Shrimp are safe in your reef tank. As are Peppermint Shrimp. I'd not heard that Camelbacks will eat coral polyps, but perhaps your guys don't even know they are breaking the rules. ![]() Marc Peter Nellemann wrote: I just realized that the two camelback hitchhikers on my LR are now feeding on my coral frags as I am trying to bring up a 50 gal reef tank. The tank is 4 months old and dong quite well. I also have two yellow tangs and a emerald crab. I am new to the hobby and wonder if anybody can give advice on what to do. I tried feeding them some raw shrimp but this morning they were at it again. How can I get rid of them? and what shrimps would go well in a reef tank? |
