Default uv sterilizers

Per chance... Might it have been the grow lights that helped the Algae
bloom to begin with???? Grow light = growth.... Maybe not what we want to
grow...

Timmer...

well its been a few days now and my ultra viol;et sterilizer is working
great cleaned up the water fogging problem i had wioth alge it cost me

close
to 400$ canadian for a double helix modle the biggest the store had in

stock
but when faced with redoing a tank and repopulating its worth the cost.

just
a tip when adding new hardware to your tank make sure you locate a

plentiful
source of hose addapters 1/2 to 5/8 and 5/8 to 3/4 and so on

it is a possibility but when the tank was established the water i used at
the time err the local water was ripe for aggressive alge growth. So the
alge was allways there and i do have a planted tank with my africans, yes
brave i know but most plants roots run pretty deep, so i do need the lights
, and by grow lights i meant lights that help aquarium plants grow i dont
know what they are specifically but like i said as soon as i started to use
the uv sterilizer ive had better water quality the ever before.

I can't agree more...

now I paid less than $100 us at drsfostersmith.com, and got the turbo twist
model.

after having too many fish deaths (they got injured...then they got sick)
over the years I decided to give the uv a try, and am I amazed! no fish
deaths for almost a year (since I've been using it). I also think the water
looks clearer, but may be my imaginiation.. one thing is for sure, this
makes your water clean!!!

they say it is important because in nature, the sun shoots out uvb to clean
the water, but in your aquarium you are not using that wavelength so much
unless you get the uv sterilizer.
