So why exactly are heating cables worth, well anything again? I've
still had an extremely tough time over many years showing their
effectiveness to be of any significant usage in planted aquaria. Why?
Because there was none. Claus from Tropica also agreed they don't
provide optimal flow rates/redox values for plant roots and cycling
within the aquarium.

Even if they are cheap, so what if they don't do anything benefical.
