Carl,
The best thing to do is get rid of the extra fish. In any event, if you have zero ammonia and .02 your fludized sand filter is over worked because of the fish load. If the fish fish are in the 2 inch size look for a bait shop. Tom L.L. ======================================== Carl Beyer wrote in message ... I have a 400 gallon pond with too many fish... just gonna admit that up front. I have a fluidized sand filter and a 1 cubic foot lava filter along with a good plant load in the pond and lava filter. My LFS tests my water for me, and for the past couple of months I have been running at a .02 (or is it .2) nitrite level.. My ammonia is zero, Nitrate is no problem, ph is 8.0... Do I need to add another Fludized bed sand filter? easy enough to make, but want to get it right this time for good. Thanks ot all for any advice in advance. Carl |
