Default How to tell (4 mo.) gold fish from Koi?????

I was sure I had a lot of Koi babies until yesterday, when I cleaned
the pump basket, I found a few "baby Koi" (2 inches) they are REALLY
REALLY like gold fish!!!
Please take a look at the picture below, are they gold fish? or Koi???

One of my Koi (female) has definitely spawned March, but I also have a
few gold fish (feeder) I like to get rid of (but never got the time to
do), it is possible the feeders fertilize the Koi eggs???

John, when we had shubunkin (goldfish) with our koi, the shubunkins either
interbred with the koi (not sure about this) or ate all the koi fry. We
didn't have koi fry survivors until all the shubunkins were removed (and
given good homes elsewhere). The only differences I could see were the koi
fry were longer and leaner (like a fat exclamation mark), and had barbels
(whiskers). The shubunkin babies were shaped like the 2 inch babies you
found in your pump basket.

Can you net one or two of the live babies and see if you can see barbels?
You might need a magnifying glass.

It looks like you have a mixture of goldfish & koi together in those photo's
to me, and the one's you have taken out of the pond to photo look like gold
fish too, if you still are not sure I suggest catch a couple and put them in
a water filled container and take them to your fish suppliers and ask them
to take a look they should be able to advise you.
