I'd like to get probes that will last a few years before they need to be replaced so I'm willing to pay a bit more for quality, though I would like to stay below a couple hundred dollars per probe if that is possible. Thanks for any recommendations. I have "Lifeguard's Big Digital" themometer. It reads both air and tank temperature and has an alarm if the temperature goes too high. I have a "Checker by Hanna" ph probe. A waste of money in my opinion. It must be calibrated, requires a battery and the probe must eventually be replaced. I find it just as easy to use the chemical test. I just tried it after not using it for over a year and it needs to be recalibrated. Last calibration I used the chemical test for the standard, no gain there. dick |
