I have a Dumb Question ?? it may have been answerd 100s of times here or
maybe i just hard headed What is Detritus as in A Sand Sifting Tiger Star Fish is a good Detritus Eater

All stars are carnivores and they eat everything alive in your sandbed. Normally, detritus mean decomposed or decomposing food remains not eaten by fish...

It is all that organic... stuff that settles to the bottom. It is waste,
food, die off, fish poop, and basically any other organic matter that settles out in the bottom of your tank. Tre' "Adin Pryde" wrote in message ... I would stay away from stars and get nassarius snails. I have read about
