One filter takes two cartridges and also has two baskets so that you can add extra carbon. The filter intake that you were asking about is fairly long, in my bare bottom tank it only has about an inch or so clearance from the bottm of the tank. In my cichlid tank (which has gravel) I had to trim the intake tubes down a bit. Hope this helps! I have a smaller one. The only filter is the one that slides in behind the bio-wheel. You're saying this filter requires more? A |
