Default cleaning the pond

I'm in the process of building one. Just waiting for the long hose to
arrive. I got tired of messing with the shop vacs and the koi clay
clogging the 'pump out' feature. Thanks for the instructions,
RichToyBox! Really anxious to try it out.

I use a swimming pool vacuum with my filter pump to clean my ponds. I think
it works very well. You can see it here
http://www.geocities.com/richtoybox/pondpage4.html. The leaf basket is from
Aquatic Eco, as is the hose. The vac head is from an old vacuum for the
house.

I have a 1000 gallon pond. I would like to clean the silt from the bottom
without draining the water. Any advice is appreciated. Frankie
