Hornwort. It grows faster than anything I've seen (on 1.6 WPG!), it gives
out chemicals that kill algae, it's a nitrate/nutrient sponge, it can easily
grow over 2' tall, and it does not need to be rooted. In fact, if rooted,
it just anchors itself and continues to draw nutrients from the water. It
looks like Cambomba (sp?), but is about 1,000,000 times easier to keep.
It's also very hardy to different temperatures, pHs, and kHs. It's truly a
wonder plant!

General rule of thumb is 1-2 watts of fluorescent planted tank per gallon of light - five 40-watt tube is at least you tanks. If I have a tank size, I actually use a metal halide pendant. In addition, deep tank like you, only 1 watt per gallon, low growth light plants, because the light can not get a good bottom.

The background for the tall plants, we try to cleome giant pink queen, and an improved mix in a better color than the old spider flower. Beautiful orange-red spider flowers continue to open at the top of long stamens 3. To 4 feet of straw. Seed pods form below slender flower stems.
