Default Oto test

I decided to have the fishgirl at my LFS do a test with me...

We ordered 1 dozen each....

both tanks established an pH was compared, both at 7.4 and all others were
nearly identical....

both tanks were planted, low aggression/no aggression, high filtration, but
high light with some diatom algae, but mostly mild to no algae at all....
driftwood and rocks in both with scattered green patches here and there...

Acclimation:
bag filled with fish, topped with oxygen, 1 algae tab added for curiousity(I
live 9 min. from store)
float bag 1 hour
add some tank water to bag

we both are trying to do the same thing to have a close comparison....

I have an idea that all of mine are now going to live because I gave them
the algae tablet on the way home... at the store they kinda all looked
somewhat small and hungry, and I figured maybe 4 of that dozen looked
good... I told her I didn't want to pay $6 per fish, when you buy 12 @ 1.99
= 23.88 to get 4 fish in the end, $5.97, so she said, "lets do this...." and
so here we are...

I'm just curious if adding an algae pellet to the bag will help any??? hey,
it's worth a shot...

Will bring this back in a week and see where we are...
