Hmmm....I was thinking the same. However the most amazing display I ever
saw was at Birmingham Sea Life Centre. They have a tunnel through one of
their tanks - filled with sharks and other marines. I've tried a google
but can't find any decent pics so I guess anyone who comes to the UK
just has to go there. Basically rather than the fish swimming in the
tube it is people walking through the tube...completely surrounded....I
went some years ago and remember that my oldest son who was 4 at the
time being so freaked that he had to leave and be taken out around the
outside....It was mind blowing...now one of those in the house would be
amazing g

Gill

BTW I would also settle for the tube with the fish swimming through

a friend with a LFS set up something similar a fish ladder from a low tank
to a higher tank. water siphoned down the ladder and retuned to the upper
tank with a power head. it was cool but a lot of work - always gathered air
(check those photos in the link) also fish only swam up stream so one tank
was empty overnight. but it was still neat and we tried many different
fish/tank setups. customers thought it was VERY cool but we both decided it
was just too much work

They provide a magnet scrubber. So there. ;-)

The Oregon Coast Aquarium (former home of Keiko the Orca) has one of

No handle required for a magnet device. I notice in most of the photos no
fish are in the highway....what good is that?

Without a handle, you'll be standing on a ladder (I was thinking about
the 'highway' which runs over their heads).

I don't think it has much use either, just gimmicky.
