Lucked into a 55 gal tank

I've never heard of that.
But someone else here might chime in.

Its owner stated that this tank was for freshwater and not salt..... I
have never heard of such but thought I would ask the group at large if
anyone had ever heard of this? Tank was bought used in 97. Thanks in
