Its owner stated that this tank was for freshwater and not salt..... I have
never heard of such but thought I would ask the group at large if anyone had ever heard of this? Tank was bought used in 97. Thanks in advance for your thoughts =) |

It was something about the sal****er and the silicon used to seal the
tank..... "James" wrote in message ... Its owner stated that this tank was for freshwater and not salt..... I have never heard of such but thought I would ask the group at large if anyone had ever heard of this? Tank was bought used in 97. Thanks in advance for your thoughts =) |

Any metal framing generally dictates freshwater only, but those are rare these days. The main thing about a 55 that makes it better for fresh than salt is the profile. It's long and lean, which gives it lots of display area but less surface area than other tanks that length. Extra surface area is preferable for marine tanks.
