Default Grape Vines in my tank....

Hi All,

I am always finding weird things growing from my LR. About 2 months ago
this stuff appeared that looked like green grape vines. Any idea what it
is? It has started growing everywhere and even though I cull it is is
starting to grow out of my corals and killing them.

Grape Caulerpa (Caulerpa racemosa). Nasty stuff in a display. Take the
rock out, and tweeze, tweeze, tweeze. If your tank is large enough, some
tangs will eat it readily.

Good luck.

What your thinking of is Valonia, or green bubble algae. The emerald
crab is what is supposed to eat the stuff, yet my 2 emeralds have yet
to touch any of the stuff......so I just remove it with a turkey
baster. Don;t know if the name of the crab you mentined in the
scientific name as I can;t keep up with common names yet alone
scientific names, so it could be the same as an emerald...
